As golfers ourselves, we know from experience that arranging a holiday, even for a small group, can be a challenging and stressful responsibility. Our aim is to assist you and to make the whole process run at smoothly as possible.

We do not have a set policy for group discounts because there are so many variables in a golf holiday…just give us a call, and we’ll give you our best price, based on your requirements

Flights

General Flight Information
Longmere Golf tailor make ever golf trip to suit your exact requirements.  In relation to flights we offer you flexibility and recognize that its your choice.

If you would like us to find you a suitable flight we will be only too pleased to offer this as part of our service.  However we fully accept that you may want to take care of your own flight arrangements, which is fine.

The advice that we would offer is to allow us to check hotel and golf availability, before you book your flights.  This will help avoid disappointment and also with full knowledge of the tee times that have been secured on your behalf it will enable you to book suitably timed flights.

Surcharges
Many airlines are now levying a surcharge for; Golf Club Carriage, Luggage and for the use of a credit or debit card. Further information can be requested from our reservations staff

When booking flights via the internet, on your behalf, Longmere reserve the right to charge a booking fee.  Further information can be requested from our reservations staff

Group Bookings
We appreciate that if you are arranging a golf trip for a large group, you may not have all the names to give the airline at the time of booking.   We deal with a number of airlines who recognize this and offer the facility to book flights, requesting only a deposit payment. Names are often not required immediately.  Our experienced staff will be happy to assist with booking your flights for individuals or groups.

Accommodation

All accommodation is subject to availability at the time of booking.  We strongly recommend that when proceeding with a booking you ensure that the accommodation is available, prior to booking flights.

Upgraded services are available at most hotels featured; i.e meal and room supplements.  For these and other additional costs please contact our reservations team.

If you would like to stay in a hotel that isn’t featured on our website please contact us, as we may be able to obtain prices.

Tee Times

This is the most important part of your golfing holiday.  As soon as you have decided upon which golf courses you want to play, and you have given us your instructions, we will request a tee-time booking from each golf course for the preferred time indicated by you.

We will endeavour to meet requests for specific courses, dates and times, but it will be understood that requests are subject to availability, and accordingly are not binding on us.

Green fee vouchers are not transferable, and not refundable, unless the course is closed because of bad weather. If you need any advice in relation to your tee times please call 0208 655 2112.

Do you need golf only?
If you have secured your accommodation and need to book golf only, we can be of help, please contact the tee times aboard team on 0203 253 0125 or send an Email to; ??

Insurance

We cannot overstress the importance of travel insurance, as so many of our clients have an annual travel insurance arrangement, we do not automatically include travel insurance in our prices.

Handicap Certificates

The policy of many overseas golf courses is that handicap certificates must be presented before play. It is the players responsibility to ensure they are in possession of this.

If you are not in possession of a current handicap certificate Longmere Golf have teamed up with the Golfers Club who can provide you with a handicap certificate by joining there club. They can be contacted on www.globalgolfers.com

Longmere Golf Holidays together with Eurotunnel can offer golfers the perfect solution when traveling to the continent. As a golfer you can simply load your luggage and golf clubs into the car, drive to Folkestone to take a Eurotunnel shuttle to Calais and within 35 minutes you are ready to drive away from Eurotunnel heading for your chosen destination….

Its stress free…. Why take the clubs out of the boot until you’re ready to go off to the first tee!

 

Information About EurotunnelEurotunnel

Eurotunnel links the rail and motorway networks of the United Kingdom and France. The system comprises three tunnels, each of approximately 50 kilometres in length and running under the English Channel between terminals in Folkestone, Kent and Coquelles, France.

Two single-track rail tunnels are normally used for trains running in one direction only. The third tunnel, which lies for most of its length between the two rail tunnels, is designed to provide a safe means of evacuation (the “safe haven”) and is used for maintenance purposes.

The Folkestone and Coquelles terminals have direct access to the motorway networks in the United Kingdom and France. Each terminal offers customers shopping and catering facilities.

Passenger Shuttles
Passenger shuttles carry cars, campervans, caravans, coaches, motorcycles and trailers between the United Kingdom and France. Tickets can be bought in advance from Longmere Golf Holidays, either contact us by email, sales@longmeregolf.co.uk or telephone 0208 655 2112.

Customers remain with their vehicles throughout the journey which, from platform to platform, takes approximately 35 minutes. Each passenger shuttle comprises of two sections: a double-deck section, principally for cars and motorcycles, and a single-deck section for vehicles higher than 1.85m, principally coaches, minibuses, and cars with caravans. Nine passenger shuttles are currently in operation, and each shuttle can carry up to 120 cars and 12 coaches, or 180 cars.

Eurotunnel manages a transport system whose speed, frequency and safety are without compare, the only one to allow the crossing of a major obstacle such as the Channel at high speed, without transfer and no matter what the prevailing weather conditions.

Self Check in

How does it work?
Providing you have made a booking in advance of travel, proceed to the Self Check-In lanes signposted and look out for our kiosks situated before the main booths.

The process is exactly the same for your return journey. It really couldn't be easier!

Disabled users
Proceed to the Self Check-In lanes and simply follow the instructions described above to obtain your hanger. Once your hanger is printed, follow the disabled route as usual.

FlexiPlus ~ Why not take an upgrade?
FlexiPlus fares are perfect for travellers requiring convenience and flexibility - turn up early or late; you can travel on the next available shuttle. If you wish to amend your booking you can do so at no extra cost. The benefits are;

Designated parking place
If stopping off for a bite to eat or last minute shopping then you are entitled to park in the designated spaces close to the Passenger Terminal Buildings.
